About

Researcher and Educator in the areas of Internet Studies and Media Ecology.

I have taught media/cultural theory into undergraduate and graduate media/communication programs at Griffith University (including distance courses via Open Universities Australia), the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and Queensland University of Technology.

I collect artefacts relating to the history of the Commodore Amiga personal computer - and also the early Demoscene - with an interest in the emerging discipline of Platform Studies.

Community media and independent media makes sense to me;
