Patricia Fronek, BSocWk; PhD; ACSW; is Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, School of Human Services and Social Work, Gold Coast Campus, Australia; Secretary, Australian Association of Social Work and Welfare Education (AASWWE); Founding Member of the Australian College of Social Work; and currently serves on the National InterCountry Adoption Advisory Group (NICAAG) for the Australian federal Attorney-General’s Department.
As a researcher, educator and social worker with thirty years experience in the field, I am deeply committed to social work values including social justice, respect for people – valuing the worth and self-determination of all people, and professional integrity. My research areas include intercountry adoption, practice in health and disability fields, ethics and professional practice and more recently, surrogacy.
