Thesis Title: Wonder(ing) Woman: Feminisms in the New Millennium
About
I am currently working on a PhD at Griffith University, Nathan, Brisbane, Australia. I argue that there remains an urgent need for political representation by women for women as feminisms and postfeminisms are in various states of crisis. I am researching strategies to enhance the relevance of feminisms within Australia.
I worked for many years in the banking/finance/ insurance/teaching industries in Australia, London and Tokyo. I continue to work in insurance on a part-time basis in Australia as one cannot live on a student scholarship/casual work alone! This experience has helped shape the semi-corporate approach I take regarding strategic planning for feminisms.
On a personal level, I am an avid reader, blogger, tea-drinking, gin-consuming, poetry writing, socialising type of person. My main interest area remains women's human rights.
