About
Shanene is a PhD student at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in the School of Humanities and the Griffith Centre for Cultural Research. As part of her PhD, Shanene is currently researching the nexus between cultural networks, policy and community in dispersed geographies. She is particularly interested in working with cultural producers to create space(s) that might facilitate ongoing productive dialogue. Her research is focused on the Gold Coast. Shanene also teaches sociology, theatre and writing at Griffith University. Shanene is Chair of the Regional Arts Development Fund, a board member of rabbit+cocoon multi-arts hub and board member of Gold Spaces urban renewal project.
